This rubric is used to verify specific tasks performed when producing the Cell Cycle PowerPoint presentation. If the task has been successfully completed with quality, all points are awarded. Poor quality will reduce score at instructor’s discretion. No points are awarded if the task is not complete.

Slide 3 5 points	This slide describes the purpose of meiosis, where the process is taking place and its roll in reproduction.	5
First cell division: Meiosis I 20 points	Prophase 1: Duplicated chromatin condenses	5
	Metaphase 1: Homologous chromosomes align at the equatorial plate	5
	Anaphase 1: Homologous pairs separate with sister chromatids remaining together.	5
	Telophase 1: Two daughter cells are formed with each daughter containing only one chromosome of the homologous pair.	5
Second cell division: Meiosis II 20 points	Prophase 2: DNA does not replicate.	5
	Metaphase 2: Chromosomes align at the equatorial plate.	5
	Anaphase 2: Centromeres divide and sister chromatids migrate separately to each pole.	5
	Telophase 2: Cell division is complete. Four haploid daughter cells are obtained.	5

(Include, but are not limited to: Slide Transitions, motion and timing (honors) are accurate, Choice of colors and graphics is for an adult audience, not elementary. Slide transitions add to the presentation, not detract from it. Slide margins are centered on the computer screen. Shadows are added to font when appropriate. There is no grammar or spelling errors.)	5

Self-evaluation	Students are expected to honestly evaluate their own work. If the difference between the student evaluation and the teacher evaluation is more than 10 points, 5 points will be deducted from the teacher's score when the grade is recorded.
Deadline	All "computer" assignments are expected to be completed by the assigned deadline. No credit will be given after this time.
