 Monday          1. Warm up: Tracking traits with pedigrees

                        2. Turn in 1.5c (1-9) genetics: Genetics problems

                        3. Discuss & begin Genetics R& D program – 1.5c under honors section # 2 only

                        4. H.W. – read 161-163 & 166-177

                           

 

Tuesday           1. Meet in library computer lab

                        2. Finish Genetics R&D program

                                    -Place presentation in short cut to science

                                    -Print out rubric & six slides per page handouts  

                        3. Presentation will be Thursday (place in short cut to science)

                          

 

Wednesday     1. Meet in library computer lab

                       2. Finish Genetics R & D if needed

                       3. Use online text (ch.9) complete activities  (finish as homework if needed)

                            - 9D incomplete dominance, also submits key concept quiz   (pdf format)

                            - 9E: linked genes & crossing over, also submit key concepts quiz (pdf format)

                            - Submit these two assignments through TUOL-ANGEL (due Thursday end of day)

 

Thursday         1. Genetics R & D presentations   

                        2. H.W.Read: Make a baby simulation lab

                        3. Bring color pencils tomorrow            

                       

Friday              1. Make a baby simulation lab

                        2. Draw your picture and answer all questions

                        3. Quiz over genetics next Tuesday

                       

 

 

Objectives

1. Perform a testcross to deduce genetic information.

2. Perform research in different areas of genetics, present information

3. Discuss incomplete dominance, multiple alleles, codominance, polygenic inheritance, sex linked traits and nature affects on genetics

4. Discuss how a single characteristic can be influenced by many genes.

5. Explain the chromosome theory of inheritance and how it is affected by crossing over in meiosis.
