Objectives

            1. Discuss bacterial gene transformation process and calculating transformation efficiency.

            2. Perform online procedures needed to produce a DNA fingerprint (gel electrophoresis).

            3. Practice the process of Micropipetting. 

            4. Discuss the human genome project and some of the genetic information gained from it.

            5. Discuss the pros/cons and the debate over GM animals and foods.
